girls talk about important things they plan their futures tell each other secrets they have best friends sometimes for life they listen to each other they write stories and poems they dream make blood oaths learn to trust or not they learn to obey or not they SEE everything they stay or run away they love and they hate they know they are treated differently than boys they know that some believe they are less lacking second class worthless but girls are tough and strong just not tough or strong enough to fight off adult males girls survive in spite of what is done to them and still some of them can love life some of them can find joy some can fill a room with laughter that’s how amazing girls are they don’t die just because half the world tries to kill them

I’m an artist, a writer, a vegetarian, an animal rights activist, and quite a few other things as well. I love books, cats, philosophy, good conversation, Chicago and the arts. So my blog is full of bits and pieces but it’s the bits and pieces that make life interesting to me. You can read more of my writing at Rethinking Life
