women are conditioned brainwashed into believing they are okay when they have NEVER had the freedom to find out who they are what they can accomplish what it feels like to be SAFE we are not okay we don’t know what okay is we are supposed to believe that if we have shelter food a partner who is kind then we are okay but it’s just one more patriarchal game another scam women are controlled by violence by fear and they are always prey in the world of men women cannot be okay when they are only ALLOWED to have what males say they CAN have and even then what women have men can always take away women are kept poor forced into dependency in charge of the labor men do not want to do whether at work or in the home women are stopped by glass ceilings walls and floors at every turn and women are expected to compete with each other for the scraps that are thrown their way we are not okay we are not free we are not in charge of our own bodies we are not ALLOWED by the male establishment to walk freely through the world or our own lives we are not okay we survive we consider ourselves fortunate if we have not been beaten raped or harmed in anyway we are expected to be GRATEFUL for having a good life we are not okay we are not ALLOWED to be okay nothing is ours we have no voice we have only what we are given what we are ALLOWED to have smile don’t start anything pacify speak softly women shriek are loud insane so be polite do what you can to survive we are not okay we are not okay in parking lots elevators cemeteries churches theaters schools dorms hospitals parks public bathrooms hallways grocery stores malls work the forests our own homes we are never safe we are only lucky nighttime is not for us we are not ALLOWED to be on the streets alone at night or we are asking for it we are not ok our daughters are not okay no female is okay being okay is a lie taught to us to keep us quiet to keep us in our place to terrify us into giving up our lives for safety when there is no safety for women anywhere males make sure of that we are not okay men make absolutely sure we are never OKAY that’s why the violence against women never stops but instead it is encouraged used as a way to control us and make sure that we never scare them
